We were all born in true loving connection with our bodies but for many of us, at some point in our lives, something happened that made us lose that connection.

We may have mistreated it, criticized it, rejected it, stopped looking at it or taking care of it.

Or we may have found ourselves exercising excessively or dieting to make our bodies look a certain way, thinking, “If it looks good, then I will be lovable”.

Or we may have used it to get something, or someone, only realizing afterwards that it was not right for us.

Or we may have gotten ill, or went through surgery, or developed chronic pain, and endured a long difficult journey afterward.

Or we might have used our bodies to protect ourselves from others, when our boundaries were not strong enough, wrapping ourselves in a layer of fat or muscle, as armor.

Our bodies are constantly communicating with us, but we may have lost attunement in being able to listen to what it needs; when to move, when to rest, when to eat, when not to eat.

We may have tried to compensate or distract ourselves for so long that it seems too difficult or impossible to find a way out.

During our time together we will uncover how we became disconnected from our bodies and explore ways we have mistreated or neglected it, and together we will embark on a soft loving journey of reconnection.

Through teaching, meditation, movement, and open sharing, we will experience what it feels like to share a space of vulnerability and self-love.

Freedom to be as you are and to love your body is the path we invite you to walk on.

The Facilitators:

Madeleine Gauffin:

I am a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and groups.

Inner child work, co-dependency work, EMDR and meditation are ways to connect with your heart, your true being and your longings. They are also roads of discovery and exploration for fears, insecurities and traumas. Living with an open heart, finding the courage to embrace your vulnerability, and turning towards love is an authentic way to live.

By not escaping from what we feel and exploring those emotions, we get into our lives and we find an authentic way of being and expression. Learning Love is a deep and transformative approach, where body, soul and emotions all have equal space.

Kala Vanina Waizmann:

I am a Researcher and Psychologist with an integrative approach, combining techniques to tailor a process specifically for the client, and taking their life experiences as part of their process of growth.

In my work I combine my academic teachings and research with the spiritual one. For more than two decades now I have been dedicated to understanding, learning, teaching and spreading what I have learned.
